The Assisi Foundation of Memphis, Inc. has announced grants totaling
over $2 million for the First Quarter 2010 ___________________________________________________________
MEMPHIS (January 28, 2010 ) --- The Assisi Foundation of Memphis, Inc. announced today grant awards for over $2 million for first quarter 2010. The Foundation awards grants to not-for-profit organizations serving people located primarily in Memphis, Tennessee, and in the Mid South region surrounding Memphis. The awards are in the areas of health care, education, literacy initiatives, community enhancement, and civic and cultural programs.
Some of the approved First Quarter 2010 grants included:
· LeBonheur Children's Medical Center Foundation. - $1,000,000
· St. Andrew African Methodist Episcopal Church. - $250,000
· Lausanne Collegiate School - $125,000
· University of Memphis Foundation - $500,000
· Visible School - Music and Worship Arts College - $250,000
Additional grants were approved to support collective community recipients for different Assisi facilitated initiatives. |
